What are some good drugstrore makeup products?

as in good concealers and foundations for back to school [I'm gonna be a freshmen] I want to look flawless and I want to hide my acne scars and few occasional pimples. so please list good inexpensive drugstore products please and thank you %26lt;3 hope this was enough infoWhat are some good drugstrore makeup products?
The mineral power make ups are great. They hide flaws, yet look natural. I prefer L'Oreal. What are some good drugstrore makeup products?
I use maybelline mineral power concealer and maybelline mineral power foundation..and I love it!

Are ingredients in makeup products like Beeswax, Wax, Red No.6 Lake, and Cetyl Alcohol bad for skin?

I'm looking into some makeup products and I've noticed these ingredients are very common in the products. Are they good or bad? Why?Are ingredients in makeup products like Beeswax, Wax, Red No.6 Lake, and Cetyl Alcohol bad for skin?
Beeswax and other waxes are generally used for texture or to make the product more emollient. The red is simply a color and Cetyl Alcohol is a very good moisturizing product. In it's natural state is looks almost like a stick of butter. You will find it in many great skin care products, lotions, conditioners, etc.

  • What makeup products should I save on and which should i splurge on?

    I wear eyeshadow

    eyeliner

    mascara

    blush

    bronzer

    lipstick

lipglossWhat makeup products should I save on and which should i splurge on?
    Splurge~

    eyeshadow- i love sephora colorful

    eyeliner

    lipstick

    bronzer

    Save~

mascara- love covergirl the big orange tube, mabyline green

    blush

lipgloss- victorias seceret, avon, rimmelWhat makeup products should I save on and which should i splurge on?
    Here's what i do

eyeliner, lip gloss,lipstick,eyeshadow-save because i am always changing what shades i use depending on how i feel.

Mascara,blush,bronzer-splurge because i find you get nicer shades of bronzer and blush if you spend a bit more and premium mascaras always work better for me.Also i always wear blusher or bronzer and mascara so for make up that makes up my base i would rather use better products.

Also if you decide to wear foundation you should splurge but for pressed or loose powder you can spend less on it.
    Good question! In my experience:

eyeshadow - splurge, or at least get a good primer (like urban decay primer potion) - that will help even the drug store stuff show up more pigmented and stay on all day without creasing.

eyeliner - again, you can buy at a drugstore if you're using primer. otherwise, it may come off easily.

mascara - save. I have tried MANY mascaras and drugstore is still my favourite (rimmel, the one in the pink %26amp; black tube)

blush - splurge. I like NARS.

    bronzer - splurge

lipstick - save %26amp; get a long wear like maybelline SuperStay

lipgloss - splurge, use this over your longwear lipstick. I find the texture of higher end glosses are so much better.
eyeshadow I've splurged a bit on to find a lasting color that doesn't smudge, I like the mineral eye shadows

I save on eyeliner - I buy Covergirl, the soft tip with the smudge tip on the opposite end..it glides on well, I use it daily, and I can't imagine spending more than 4 bucks on it

I save on lipstick and lipgloss - Although I love the stuff, the cheaper kinds come in just as similar colors as more expensive kinds and is usually made about the same, ya know...so I don't find it necessary to buy the expensive kinds

Blush - cheap, save...you're only supposed to apply a little color, no need for an expensive brand

    Bronzer - same goes

Mascara - I splurge... I keep trying to find the best out there, although maybelline full n soft is about as good as any other kinds I've had - but I do like diorshow blackout

and you didn't ask but I also splurge on foundation - I use bare minerals, 25 bucks for foundation but it honestly covers better than any liquid foundation I've ever used and it stays on better, feels light too unlike cakey liquids I've used...and I spend about 10 bucks on loreal mineral concealer, it's cheaper than the bare minerals concealer and works well too...

eyeliner- SAVEthe best is always found at kroger

mascara- save the bright orange tube at any drugstore is the best mascara ever

blush- save, but dont buy a really cheap one. get a nicer more expensive drugstore brand

    bronzer- same as blush

    lipstick- save

    lipgloss- save

mostly every girl needs her basics such as mascara, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lip gloss, lip stick and always have chapstick! it will keep your lips moisturized so they look th
    eyeshadow - splurge

    eyeliner - splurge

    mascara - splurge

    blush - save

    bronzer - save

    lipstick - save

What ingredients are used in Estee Lauder makeup products?

Oooo, this question is right up my alley since I work as an R%26amp;D Technician for a company that makes products for the beauty industry including Estee Lauder Brands.

It depends on the product and which lable you are talking about. If you want to know what is inside a product then look at the package, there is an ingredient list on there. Sometimes you will get product names, like ';Luvitol'; which is an ingredient that makes products feel soft and gives skin/hair shine. This is an ingredient in makeup, but it too is made up of many different chemicals and botanicals so it is sometimes hard to know exactly what you are looking at. If you see a chemical and do not know what it does, do an internet search for it and I am sure you will find information on it online.

If you are concerned about an allergy to a specific compound the best thing to do is to contact the company, or shop a brand that is hypoallergenic. This means that they use ingredients that are proven to cause allergic reactions in few people (notice I said few people and not NO people). If you know a specific ingredient you are allergic to then you can write an e-mail to the customer service department on the brand's website and explain that you wish to know which of their products contain that allergen.

If you are looking for products that are more natural, look elsewhere. Estee Lauder uses alot of different chemical compounds in their makeup, which is ok, but not everyone likes that. Brands that say ';certified organic'; can be better but may also contain chemicals with Hazardous Materials index's. You want to look for brands that say all natural, or 100% botanical. If you have allergies (seasonal or plant allegies) sometimes these products can contain ingredients that will irritate you. It is all about ballance.

Hope this helped a little. If you had a question about a specific ingredient I would be better able to help you. What ingredients are used in Estee Lauder makeup products?
how am i supposed to know i didn't make the stuff! duhWhat ingredients are used in Estee Lauder makeup products?
Tough question. Which specific EL makeup products? As one of the 2 cosmetic giants in the world, EL makes numerous products, as well as own these subsidaries:

    --MAC

    --Jo Malone

    --Aramis, Inc.

    --Aveda Corp.

    --Stila Makeup

    --Jane Cosmetics

    --Prescriptives, Inc.

    --Estee Lauder Cosmetics

    --Bobbi Brown Essentials

    --Clinique Laboratories, Inc.

    --Donna Karan Beauty Products

--Creme de la Mer Facial Treatment Line

    --Origins Natural Resources Cosmetics

    Your best options:

Look at the ingredients list, which the specific EL Cosmetics, like their skincare line, does not list their ingredients on or inside the box, or on their package inserts. This could very well be part of their ';trade secrets,'; which the FDA can grant a company ';trade secret status,'; which means the secret ingredients don't have to appear on the label.

If you have a history of sensitivity to cosmetics, the phrase ';....and other ingredients'; should raise a red flag.

Familiarize yourself with some of the major, common cosmetic ingredients, which the short list is still too long to list here. Check out these 2 books:

    1. A Consumer's Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients (ISBN 9780609803677)

    2. Beauty (ISBN 9780761101864)

If you can't afford to buy these 2 books, then call up the company/subsidary and ask them. After you write down the list of names (whatever they're willing to tell you), go to your local bookstore or library and flip through for the answers. Although their active ingredients can be a legal secret from the competitors, as a consumer, you're not asking for the chemical formulas or ratios, just the main general ingredients.
I tried to google it for you to provide a website, there are quite a few websites with info. You should try Google.

What are good brands/names of these makeup products!?!?

If you're on a tight budget, L'oreal also offers options. You can find L'oreal makeup in Walmart, K-mart, and in most drugstores.

What hair/makeup/skin products do not test on animals?

I hear that MAC and Chanel do not, which other ones work really well, but dont test on animals? Im not a vegan, or vegetarian, but I am against animal testing. Im trying to avoid those products. What hair/makeup/skin products do not test on animals?
    Urban Decay

    Smashbox

Kiss My FaceWhat hair/makeup/skin products do not test on animals?
Body Shop. Check individual company websites for info, or email them.
I'm not a woman but I do know the Bare Escentuals they do not test on any animals. Also, its made from minerals, nothing from animals, so its safe for vegetarians.
The co-operative don't and they have some really good supermarket own type products that are good value for money as well.
    Lush.

    http://www.lush.com

AMAZING... hair, body, face, bath... lovely stuff. I'm not Veg*n either, but their stuff is great, no animal testing, and over 75% of their products are vegan.
for hair and skin, J/A/S/O/N doesn't test on animals, neither do Tom's of Maine (they do things like toothpaste, mouthwash, deoderant) Simply Basics does lotion, body wash and body scrub, Body and Earth Spa does body scrub

    for makeup - E.L.F doesn't test on animals www.eyeslipsface.com

www.naturalnirvana.com has a lot of vegan makeup, which does not use animal testing

Good Luck =) well done with avoiding animal tested products!!
Burts Bees line of cosmetics are all natural and not tested on animals. I love everything they make.
The Body Shoppe does not test...they have a whole line of makeup, lotions, shower gels, shampoos, etc.
Theres nothing wrong with animal testing. Its there to protect you.
